What is Enhanced Access Service?

Enhanced Access is a local service for local people offering evening appointments with GP's, clinical Pharmacists, Nurses and Health Care Assistants as well as other Voluntary Care Services that will help to improve health and well-being.

GP appointments are also available at the weekend.

The first phase of the service went live on 1st October 2017 providing weekend appointments from 8.00am to 2.00pm for patients registered with 16 local practices.

From July 2018 we offer additional appointments on week-day evenings (6.30pm to 8.00pm) and also weekends (8.00am to 2.00pm).

We were one of the first organisations in the country to meet the national target set for number of additional appointments offered.

How to book an appointment – Appointments are booked through your own GP practice. Your practice will be able to access the Hub appointment schedule and book you in.

You can also book appointments by contacting the relevant Hub on days your practice is closed and also via 111.

GP and nurse appointments are now available in your area during the evenings and at the weekend. To book an appointment, contact your practice.
